Seasoning a wok is an essential step to ensure your food doesn’t stick and to maintain the longevity of your wok. Whether you’ve just purchased a brand new wok or want to rejuvenate an old one, this guide will show you how to season a wok using a simple method.
Step 1: Choose the Right Wok
Before you begin the seasoning process, make sure you’re using the right kind of wok. Traditional carbon steel woks are best for seasoning, as they develop a natural non-stick patina over time. Avoid using nonstick or stainless steel woks, as they won’t hold seasoning well.
Step 2: Wash and Dry Your Wok
