Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon rice wine or sherry
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

  2. Place the pork in a large resealable plastic bag or container and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the pork is well coated and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  4. Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Roast the pork in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, basting with the reserved marinade every 10 minutes, until the pork is cooked through and caramelized.
  6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your homemade char siu with steamed rice or noodles!
